three mates + a lot of late nights
We started TEZ as three mates making songs in bedrooms, rehearsal rooms, and anywhere we could plug in a guitar.
We make warm, honest songs about growing up, losing yourself a little, finding your way back, and the people who hold it all together.
then we properly got to work
After those early releases did way better than we expected, we spent months writing, rewriting, layering reverb, removing reverb, adding reverb back again… you get it.
Twelve demos turned into something that finally felt like “this is TEZ" and we went to record them at Unwound Studios under the masterful hands of Ian Flynn.
Now we're playing shows all over the UK & trying to do this for real.
And since there aren’t many Margate bands doing warm, dreamy, coastal indie in the UK right now… there’s a real chance for us to build something special…

The New Era
It’s dreamy, emotional, slightly cinematic indie. Hazy guitars. Ethereal choruses. A little more urgency. Like the moment life starts shifting and you’re finally stepping into something new.
If you like Palace, Sticky Fingers, Foals, Ben Howard, or warm, reverb-soaked indie… you’ll feel at home.
and about the title…
The New Era is exactly what it says. A turning point for us — the moment TEZ started feeling like a real band, a real direction, a real community growing around what we’re making. It’s about change, healing, hope, and figuring yourself out. Once you’ve sat down and listened to it for yourself, you'll understand it… trust me!
